In the Minden Cricket Classic Series Set, England in the West Indies, 1934-35, you will find some of the great names of the game from both sides. You will also find one of the shortest Test matches ever played, one that contains bizarre weather, a classic "sticky wicket", and some, er, interesting batting line ups.
The set is based on the most detailed ball by ball information available, thanks largely to the excellent statistics found in The Davis Test Match Database, which contains information for early Test Matches not found elsewhere. Particularly for Minden, it includes Balls Faced, extras, and boundaries, which are not readily available elsewhere.
For these Tests a new ball was taken every 200 runs and they were played on turf, except for Port of Spain where a matting wicket was in use.
The games were:
1st Test: West Indies v England at Bridgetown, Jan 8-10, 1935
