Minden Cricket Excel Assistant in action

As cricket is in full swing in the Northern Hemisphere I have been inspired to play a little more Minden Cricket than usual. As ever I am continuing along with my World Series Cricket 1977-78 Season replay as I simultaneously work on the next version of the Minden Cricket Excel Assistant.

For those who use Windows and the latest version of Excel, the MPCC Assistant is a real time saver, keeping track of the various rules as well as doing all the score keeping for you.

Best of all, it's free and has a lot of key pre-loaded stats from Advanced Cards in it, along with the ability to enter data from your own purchased Advanced Cards.

In terms of the next version of the Assistant, please let me know if you have any suggestions. Right now I am focussing on usability improvements, the ability to more easily set up historic matches, and some early work on Weather and Pitch conditions.

By the way, the cards you see on the screen a simply screen grabs of cards that I have pasted into an app that sits above Excel. Makes it a pure paper free experience apart from the Minden Cricket rules and tables which of course you need in order to use the Excel Assistant.

Thanks Chris. Glad you are enjoying it. I am working hard on the next version which will have Pitch Cards integrated in it and hopefully the Weather too. I use it all the time and it is a great way of tracking all the rules and decisions one can make with Minden Cricket.

I just wanted to say that I think the MPCC is absolutely fantastic. It is a real game changer. I love using it with Minden and can’t wait for the next version. I couldn’t imagine playing the game without it now. Thanks again.
