2020/21 - India vs. Australia
With the proliferation of Test Cricket over the past few decades, and the sheer number of games, it is depressingly common for a recent series to be called "The Greatest Ever". However, for once, the 2020-21 version of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia certainly merits consideration of this title.
Over four matches the series ebbed and flowed in a way that reinforces why this form of cricket is the ultimate "Test" for players. Fleeting horrors such as the shocking 36 all out within three days for India were soon forgotten, and fans were treated to a final two Tests which went the full, compelling distance of five days each.
India showed a grit and determination that was rewarded on the final afternoon of the Fourth Test at the Woolloongabba Cricket Ground in Brisbane.
The only shame of this series was that it wasn't a five Test series. That aside, it does indeed rank as one of the finest series, and one that showed the true depth of the current Indian cricket system.
Now, thanks to the wonders of Minden Playing Card Cricket, you will be able to find out for yourself, to a small simulated extent, what the excitement and drama was all about.
Note: Gamers should note that realistically utilising players to match the number of games they played in a Series will tend to increase the realism of the statistics generated during the game.
